CLICKS SOMETIMES MEAN FAULTY VALVES
If a set is subject to a series of loud dicks when shaken or disturbed, the valves should be suspected at once. It happens occasionally that two or more of the elements will become loosened or bent in such a way as to make intermittent contact, thus producing numerous short circuits within the valve itself. These faults show up in the speaker as clicks.
