FLORA KLICKMAHN Perhaps the best-known of Miss Flora Klickmann’s books is 1 The_ Flower Patch Among the Hills.’ It is a bestseller, having run to twonty-nino editions. She has had great success with her other books. She is an ardent Nature worshipper, and also a lover of her kind. Sho writes with easy facility, and her works are a happy blend of the human side of life and the beauties of Nature as revealed in the countryside. ‘ Delicate Fuss ’ is the name of Miss Kiickmann’s latest novel. It is a story of high ideals and a conflict of forces moving to a happy ending. The action goes from London to the wide spaces of Canada and back again. It is an illustration of the fact, if one were needed, that there is nothing in the world greater than character. The chief person in the book, known to those who worked under her as “Delicate Fuss,” has difficulties and severe disappointments and set-backs, but the events move on to a happy ending. All who love flowers, and animals and outdoor life generally will appreciate this book, which is published by Putnam.
