CLEANING GLASS IN FRAMES AND GREENHOUSES
The glass of greenhouses needs washing occasionally, and it is not one' of the easiest jobs to got it clean. The addition of a little sulphuric acid and bichromate of potash makes it much more easy. It must be remembered that both are poisonous and dangerous. Put about loz of sulphuric acid and loz bichromate of potash into a kerosene tin three-parts full of water. Make a good swab by tying a bundle of rags on the end of a stick, and work with this. Finally, rub with a dry cloth. Do not put the hands into the solution, as it is liable to burn them and cause sores.
