TOWN v. COUNTRY CRICKET. [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, December 15. There was perfect weather and a perfect wicket for the continuation of the Town v. Country match. Country made 435 yesterday, but Town started luitlix against the bowling of J. Newman and A. Newman, four wickets being down for 50. Dustin (18), Du Chateau (7;, Ross (4), Lamason (4). After Demp ster joined Blandford the Town made a stand and the score was carried to 104, when Blandford went, caught by Galliohan off Newman, for 41. . INTERCOLLEGE BOAT RACE. [Per United Press Association.] WANGANUI, December 15. The annual four-oar intercollege boat race, Christ’s College v. Collegiate School, Wanganui, was rowed to-day on the Wanganui. The weather and water conditions were perfect. Wanganui led at the start, but after a half-mile the visitors went to the front, winning easily by five lengths.
