Salvage vessels are hurrying to the scene. The aircraft /carrier Notoro is assisting at the operations, which are expected to be extremely difficult. Mountainous seas are prevailing. [The Japanese destroyer Sawarabi was lost during a storm, and there was heavy loss of life.]
