DISTRIBUTION OF PRIZES The prize-giving ceremonies of the Otago Boys’ and Girls’ High Schools will take place to-morrow. The ceremony in connection with the Girls’ School will be held in His Majesty’s Theatre at 2.30 p.m., when His Excellency the Governor-General will give an address and Lady Bledisloe will distribute the prizes. Admission will be by ticket up to 2.20, and after that non-ticket holders will be admitted to the unoccupied seats, (f any. Tho boys’ ceremony in the evening, which will be held in' the Town Hall, will also be attended by their Excellencies, whose arrival at the hall is timed for 7.50. After His Excellency has inspected the guard of honour, which will be provided by the School Cadets, they will be escorted through the hall to the platform. His Excellency will give an address and distribute the prizes. In order to avoid any delay in commencing the proceedings the school authorities ask the public not to congregate outside the hall to see tho guard of honour. For the same reason those attending are asked to be in their seats by 7.45. At the close of the ceremony their Excellencies will leave from the main entrance by way of one of the main aisles, and the audience are requested to pay the respect due to them by remaining until their Excellencies have left the hall. Tho first six bars of the National Anthem will be played (not sung) on the arrival of their Excellencies at both ceremonies. The first verse of the anthem will bo sung at tho close of tho proceedings in each case.
