Banks were also slightly easier, £4 4s being asked without ;any buyer, offering. A buyer of Nationals of New Zealand came on the market at £3 3s, but no sellers responded. The inquiry for Kaitangata Coals dropped to par' this ; morning, and no shares were offered. Preference Westport-Stocktons came on’ the market at Is 6d, but there was no inquiry for them. The best seller of Goldsbrough, Mprts asked £1 2s, but the shares were not wanted; The “B ” issue was wanted at 14s, but no seller would take less than 18s 6d. A £arcel of Kauri Timbers was for sale at 5s . 6d, without eliciting 'response. N.Z. Drugs were for sale, at £2 18s, but 'they were ■ not wanted. N.Z.
