(Received October 13, at 10 a.m.) The committee of jurists appointed by the Budget Committee ruled that the League of Nations had no legal right to reduce the officials’ salaries. Thus the British proposal for a per cent, reduction applies only to future contracts, but some of the largest are shortly due for renewal. COMMITTEE PASSES BUDGET. GENEVA, October 12.
