BRITISH PRINCES IN SWEDEN SCANDINAVIAN TOUR NEARLY COMPLETED (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, October 11. The Prince of Wales and Prince George have concluded their visit to Sweden. On the eve of their departure the Prince of Wales broadcast a speech in which he expressed to the people of Sweden warm thanks for the friendly reception given to his brother and himself. He said he was much impressed by all he had seen, by the beauty of Sweden’s country and capital, and by those aspects of industrial life which he had been able to inspect. Commenting on the widespread knowledge of the English language amongst all classes in Sweden, His Royal Highness expressed the opinion that the Swedes were wise to learn English, because it was becoming one of the best and easiest means of intercourse between nations. It was a great satisfaction to observe the growing tendency in Sweden towards commercial and cultural relations with Britain, which, he assured the Swedes, Britain would reciprocate fully and warmly. King Gustav and several members of the Swedish Royal Family were at the station when the Princes left, as well as a great crowd. The Princes are spending this evening at Gothenburg before leaving at midnight for Malmo, where am aeroplane will be taken to Hamburg. Prince George will then fly to London, while the Prince of Wales will pay a short private visit to Amsterdam. He will stay at the British Legation.
