LEITH HARRIER CLUB
The Leith Harrier and Amateur Athletic Club held its annual wind-up dance and presentation of prizes at the Otago Motor Club’s rooms last night. The attendance was good, and excellent music was contributed by Mr D. Nowlands and his orchestra. The president of the club (Mr A. J. Dryden) conducted the presentation of prizes, and, taking the opportunity of congratulating the club during the past season, wished it every success for the future. Mr Dryden, who is retiring from office, was presented with a small gift as an appreciation of his services during his term of office of six years as president of the club. Tho following is the trophy list: — L. Smith; First 100yds handicap, first 220yds handicap, first 440yds handicap, second broad jump. G. Markham ; First broad jump handicap, first high jump handicap, second hop, step, and jump, second 220yds. S. Anderson : First five-mile championship, first mile handicap. S. Dalton: First onemile maiden handicap, second 100yds. E. Milne: First hop, step, and jump, second 440yds. F. -Miller: Second fivemile championship, second 830yds handicap. 1. Davidson: First five-mile sealed handicap, _ second three-mile junior sealed handicap. S. King : I’irst 880yds handicap. E. Reid; Second three-mile .championship, second onemile handicap. J. Thomson: hirst three-mile junior sealed handicap. D. M'Lean: Second one-mile maiden handicap. B. Timms: Second high jump handicap. H. Masters: First threemile championship. Senior Aggregate Shield: L Smith, 114 points (winner); G. Markham, li (runner-up). Junior Aggregate Cup (O. R. Watson) : I. Davidson, 27 (winner) ; L. Smith, 19 (runner-up).
