Buslield reported to conference for the Fire Insurance Committee that tho profit for the year had been £4B Os lOd. and the fund now stood at £ll2 19s lOd. The committee recommended the establishment of an insurance fund similar to that in existence in the Presbyterian and Afethodist churches, the system to provide for tho immediate reinsuring of all risks with a reputable insurance company. Air Buslield said that if the churches would link up with the union insurance scheme they would he putting monov into its special fund instead ot into the pockets of private agents. With proper support it would he possible to build up a strong reserve. It was agreed that the budget for the coming year for the Baptist Alissionary Soviet v lor work in East, Bengal should be £ti.7S(‘. It was decided also that at the earliest possible moment the hospital at Cliandpnr he converted into an institution for female patients only.
