The Avondale Stakes candidate Glenromney reeled off a similar task in 33 l-ssoc, being full of running at tho finish. Ruling King and Supreme Ruler finished on terms over half a mile in 52sec—a good effort. Prolyxo had two lengths’ advantage over Chief Joy after six in Imin ICsec. Hauwiri ran the last three furlongs of a round in 37 2-ssee. Star Artist and Gay Sheila were oven after four furlongs in 51 2-ssoc. At Avondale tho outside of the course proper, about 60ft out from the rails, was open, and the going was excellent. Pomp and Midincttc ran five furlongs in Imin 5 3-ssec. Midincttc finished well in front, and could have improvedon the effort. Gold 'Trail and Alloy finished together after seven furlongs in Imin 38 l-sscc. Spiral beat Springvalo over five in Imin 9 1-oscc. Hunting Gry, looking well, covered the Inst seven furlongs of a mile in Imin 33scc —a good effort. British Colombia ran live in Imin 8 3-ssec, and Lad; only cantered, but looks in good order. Gipsy Love cantered down the straight. Limeoii ran seven furlongs in Imin 33 2-sscc, the last half-mile occupying 53soc. Lordly Knight took 1.7 for five furlongs, flic last half-mile occupying 53 2-Ssoc.
