BOARD'S SUMMER POLICY MARRIED MEN FOR COUNTRY GAMPS [From Ouk Parliamentary Reporter.] WELLINGTON, October 12. it will be the policy of the Unemployment Board to transfer married men to country camps during the summer months. An announcement to this effect was made in the House today by the Hon. A. Hamilton. The Minister said that now winter was over it was desirable that men should be employed in the country on work of a developmental nature as much as possible. Discretion was exercised by the board as to the men sent to the country. Mr J. Howard: Are all married men to go to the country? “That is a matter for the board to decide,” replied the Minister. “ Aren’t you chairman of the board?” asked Mr Howard. The Minister replied that he was speaking as chairman of the board. He reiterated the statement that it was desirable to send men to work of a developmental nature during the summer months. SCHEME NO. 5 RELIEF Groups will report for work on tomorrow as under:— D.C.C. Reserves Department. —8 a.m., at the Opoho football ground: Groups 503, 504, 603, 604.
