CHRISTIAN WITNESS WEEK.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Reading the addresses of the Revs. D. C. Herron and Dean Cruickshank, the latter gentleman was reported to have said it would be a long time before there could be an exchange Of pulpits between the Protestant churches, including the Anglican. As a Protestant churchman I would like the dean to state why. If all the churches are truly Protestant, worshipping the one Godhead, why not exchange pulpits as often as possible? All Protestants believe in the Protestant Bible, and the only reason for delay seems to me to be ccclesiasticism, which is opposed to the unity of the churches unless form and ceremony arc used, which is not conversion of the people.— 1 am, etc.,, Layman. September 29.
