SHOT FIRED AT CAR
LIONEL VAN PRAAG'S ESCAPE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, September 26. (Received September 27, at 1.50 p.m.) Lionel Van Praag, the Australian speedway rider, was motoring to London after Hying at the Broxbourne aerodrome, when a bullet pierced the windscreen of his car. \an Praag states that if he had ' not been leaning across the steering wheel to speak to his girl companion the bullet must have hit him. It apparently came from a fast-moving car which was approaching. The first intimation, of the outrage was a .shower of glass in Van '.Praag’s face. T|ife' police are inquiring.
