N.Z. PAYMENT TO LEAGUE OF NATIONS. . Mr Forbes stated to-day in reference to the cable re League of Nations payments (New Zealand being among the nations in arrear): “1 he position is that recently we hare changed our method of paying our contributions. Instead of making one lump sum payment at the beginning of the year, payments arc now made quarterly. Under ibis agreement a certain portion of our contribution for the present year is naturally still unpaid, but the whole contribution from New Zealand will of course be received by the League before the conclusion of the voaiq and it is quite absurd to suggest’ cither that New Zealand is in arrears or that the prospects of obtaining .' c full contribution from the dominion are bad or doubtful, ’—Press Association.
