ON THE LOW WAVES
Germany is now experimenting with the ultra short waves tor the use of aircraft. These are to be used to guide aeroplanes when landing in toggy weather. The directional properties of the very short waves are to be utilised, a transmitting set on the landing ground being used to send out a continuous note, this to be received by a short-wave receiver on the plane, thus enabling the pilot to determine his direction and height by the strength of the signal.
