CHILDREN'S FINE PROGRAMME BIG AUDIENCE AT HIS MAJESTY'S A lengthy and thoroughly enjoyable children’s programme was presented at His Majesty’s Theatre on Saturday night in continuation of the Competitions’ Society’s annual festival. Mr J, C. H. Somerville presided over an audience which completely fdled the theatre. The following are the day’s results : ELOCUTION. Judge: Mr W. Russell-Wood (Auckland). RECITATION, amateurs, ladies. Own selection (net humorous). Recalled: Misses Molly O’Sullivan, Nell Waf'i'cu, Dessa Stabb, and Mollie Fowler (Christchurch). Very highly commended; Misses Nanna Newey (Ravensbourne) and B. M'innes (Timaru).
