(Received August 1, at 10 a.m.) Mrs Victor Bruce, accompanied by her husband, asccnded_ from the Solent in a giant three-engined Amphibian, the City of Portsmouth, in an attempt to defeat the endurance record of twenty-three days, hoping to remain in the air a month. They descended an hour later due to an electrical short circuit.
