A meeting of the siih-commiltces appointed bv tho Welsh Society of Otago and tho Scottish Society of Dunedin, was held in tho lounge of Lake’s Restaurant on tho evening of Thursday, to consider the advisability or otherwise of the staging of another combined concert on similar linos to Undone held last September. After consideration, and to accede to the requests from_enthusiasts, it was unanimously decided to engage the Concert Chamber for nn evening in September. The services of tho St. Kilda and Dunedin Highland Pipe Bands are to lie solicited, and the Welsh Society intimated that it had under consideration the services of a harpist from Canterbury. Mr J. E. Davies, of the Welsh Society, was elected' chairman of the committees, and Miss Carr treasurer. The organising is in the hands of the Scottish Society's secretary.
