A message from Nelson, British Columbia, states that, continuing to defy the law by parading in the nude in public, 209 Doukhobors—men, women, and children—wore arrested yesterday. OVER THREE HUNDRED IN GAOL. INTERNMENT CAMPS OPENED. VANCOUVER, xMay 9. (Received May 10, at 1.35 p.m.) With 327 men, women, and children in gaol for nude parades, the rebellious “ Sons of Freedom ” faction of Russian Doukhobors declares that the remainder, who number 6,000 in British Columbia, will also seek arrest. Three internment camps have been opened. The children among those arrested will be sent to an educational institution.
