There are nearly 1,000 clocks distributed among the various residences of King George, 160 being in Buckingham Palace; while Windsor Castle holds a famous collection of 360 timepieces of various values. The old idea of barter is at tho bottom of a contract which the Cartagena shipbuilders have entered into with the Soviet. They are to build fifty tank steamers, and the Ipll will bo paid in petrol from Russia.
