TURNING TO ROME RESIGNATION OF CHARGE. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, April 20. The Rev. William Edwin Orchard (Congregationalist), who has been minister of the King’s Weigh House Church since .191-1, has resigned, and has gone to Rome, where he is considering submitting to Catholicism. He has published a pamphlet declaring that the Holy See occupies the key position for the reunion of Christendom. The ‘ Catholic Times ’ hails the pamphlet as the greatest triumph for trutli since Cardinal Newman’s conversion. [Dr Orchard, after leaving Cambridge University, was ordained at Enfield in 1904. He took the B.D. of London in 1905, and received the D.D. of London in 1909. He was the author of many theological works.]
