Changes may be made hi the uniform of tho British soldier. .Alterations for reasons of hygiene were proposed in the report on the health of tho army for 1930, and in consequence the War Office has ashed local military authorities for suggestions. The report prepared by Lieut.-gcnoral Sir Harold hawens, Director-General of the Royal Army Medical Service, suggests;—A now jacket with _ a turn-down collar open at the neck in front; a drab Angora shirt of tennis shirt pattern to be worn with a tie; trousers in the nature of pins fours, and gaiters of cither canvas or soft leather.
