At the Stratford High School laboratory yesterday, while engaged in flame tests, a boy named Kingstono Braybrooko placed a piece of hot platinum; wire in a bottle of salt which he thought' was calcium carbide. An explosion occurred, and the glass bottle was blown! to atoms. Braybrooke and another pupil, Geoffrey Keller, were cut about the head and arms. The boys were removed to the hospital, where they are progressing favourably.—Press Association*
