COMING MAFEKIKG PARTY
VETERANS OF THE SIEGE Lord Baden-Powell, wlio commanded the troops which defended Mafeking, has invited about twenty-tivo veterans of that memorable siege—October 13, 1899, to May 17, 1900, to his country house, Pax Hill, Bentley, Hampshire, on May 17 to celebrate the thirty-second anniversary- of the relief. Brigadier-general C. Ryan, who was in charge of the commissariat in Mafeking, will be one of the party, while another will be Colonel Greener, the paymaster who made (ho hank notes and currency used by the besieged. Veterans of the relief include Lord Plummer and Mayor li. BadcnPowull, Lord LSadcii-I’oweU'b brother.
