OLYMPIC GAMES PREPARATIONS

■ ♦ BRITISH TEAM'S ARRANGEMENTS The British team for the Olympic Games will leave in two parties, the first leaving on July 13. They will arrive at Quebec on July 18. In this party, will be the athletes, cyclists, fencers, modern pentathlon competitors, oarsmen, weight-lifters, and wrestlers. On arrival in Canada the cvclists and oarsmen will proceed to Los Angeles, while the others will remain in Canada training and working out. They will then proceed via Chicago, Albuquerque, and Winslow, and they will arrive in Los Angeles on the Tuesday or Wednesday before the opening of the games. . . The second party, consisting of boxers, gymnasts, and swimmers, will sail on Julv 23, arriving at New York on July 28. After two days’ working out there they will cross the United States in the same way as the first party, arriving a similar number of days' before their competitions commence. „ . , There will also be two official parties for the return journey. The teams from South Africa and New Zealand have already asked to bo housed with the athletes from the British Isles, and the Olympic Committee at Los Angeles has agreed to the dominions competitors living in bungalows adjoining those of the Englishmen.
