Davidson, rector of Stiffkey, in order to secure funds for his defence, is considering returning to Ids former career of giving humorous recitals in public, siinilar to those of George Grossmith and Corncy Grain. Ho says ho used to earn £I,OOO a year, but stopped when ordained. Mr Davidson adds that he hates the idea of appearing in public with a hat in his hand, but if he can earn the money for his defence he will do so. [The Rev. Harold Davidson, rector of' Stiffkey, was charged before the Norwich Consistory Court, at the instance of the Bishop of Norwich, with a grave series of acts of misconduct under the Clergy Discipline Act, including constant association with women of loose character.]
