MANCHURIAN STATE
, ~— THE LEAGUE COMMISSION ALLEGED OBSTACLES TO ENTRY. (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. RUGBY, April 13. (Received April 14, at noon.) In the House of Commons Captain Eden, replying to a question regarding the alleged obstacles recently set up by the Manchurian Administration to tho entry of the League Commision of Inquiry and assessors, stated that ho was unaware that there were any such obstacles, except according to Press reports that some objection had been raised on the part of the Manchurian authorities to Dr Wellington Koo visiting Manchuria with the commission. The chairman (Lord Lytton) had already publicly announced his attitude on the matter—namely, that the commission would go to Manchuria with Dr Wellington Koo or not at all. If the difficulty was not disposed of locally it would be for the League Council to take appropriate action. The British Government had no indication of any intention on the part of the Japanese Government to the new administration in Manchuria in the immediate future. The Japanese attitude remains as was stated on February 22.
