Vice-Regal. Lady Bledisloe, acting on medical advice, has cancelled all public engagements until after _ Easter in order to effect a more rapid and complete recovery from a recent injury—a strained tendon received while playing lawn tennis. The New Zealand Fruitgrowers’ Federation having appointed Mr Kinnaird its Otago director. Dir Kinnaird is a prominent fruitgrower, and one who has taken a keen and intelligent interest in the dominion organisation of tho industry. Tho retirement on superannuation of Mr A. M'Neil, business agent for the Railways Department, is announced. Mr M'Neil joined tho service as a cadet at Christchurch in 1897,' and served successfully at Darfield,; Southbridge, Lyttelton, Timaru, Maikikiljii, Makotuku, Napier, Nelson, and 1 Wanganui. He was placed in control of the central booking office in Wellington in 1923.
