financial. THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC SHIPPING CO. OF N.Z. LTD. NEW SHIPPING SERVICE. For the purpose of providing a new fast passenger service between Dunedin, Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, and Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton, a company under the title of the Southern Pacific Shipping Co. of N.Z. Ltd., and capitalised to the extent of £250,000, has recently been formed in Dunedin. It is the intention of the Company to stimulate the great volume of traffic that is possible between Australia and the East on the one side and the South Island of Now Zealand on the other. The attainment of this worthy objoectivc will add to the prosperity of the South Island of New Zealand, put new life into its trade, and also provide more employment for New Zealand seamen and workers, supply additional revenue to thte Harbour Boards of the three main ports, and, while achieving this point, will give good dividends to the shareholders of the Company. It is anticipated that the full capital will be subscribed in record time as Otagoiles are loyal to their own province. Those who wish to secure desirable investments are advised to take as many shares as possible in the Southern Pacific Shipping Co. of N.Z. Ltd.
