CONGREGATIONAL UNION
ELECTION OF OFFICE-BEARERS [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, March 16. The concluding session of the Congregational Union of New Zealand was held this morning. The next assembly will be at Christchurch. The chairmanelect is the Rev. Harry Johnson, who is also moderator and secretary. Other officers were elected as follows: Treasurer, Mr T. Forsyth; registrar, Mr R. P. Stewart; auditor, Mr H. H. Miller; chairman of College Council, Mr Enner: warden of the college, the Rev. R. C. Roberts. The Rev. M r Miller’s resignation as editor of the ‘ Congregationalist ’ was received with regret. The finding of the Special Committee in regard to the future of the magazine was_ that it should be conducted on the lines outlined by the moderator with an inset from Home, and that the editing, printing, and publishing should be done in the Otago district. The editor will be the Rev. A. Mead, and the publisher Mr J. Abernethy. The Rev. G. Jackson was elected director of the Youth Movement.
