ELECTION EXPENSES MISTAKE COURT GRANTS RELIEF. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, February 24. (Received February 25, at 10 a.m.) Mr Justice M'Cardie, in the King’s Bench Division, granted relief to Mr Lloyd George. Counsel explained that the election agent had made a return of expenses but Mr Lloyd George, owing to ill-health, had omitted to make a personal declaration. [A previous message statedMr Lloyd George is applying immediately to the High Court for relief from the consequences, following the election, of his agent’s inadvertent omission to provide a declaration regarding his election expenses. Until the formal relief is obtained he will be unable to sit in the House of Commons under a penalty of £IOO a day.]
