BRILLIANT PLAY IN WOMEN'S SEMI-FINALS [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, January 29. _ Interest in the New Zealand tennis championships, which were continued to-day in hot weather on fast couits, centred this morning on the semi-finals m the women’s singles, in which the four Australians were engaged. The match between Mrs Molesworth and Miss Hall provided the best women’s tennis seen in Auckland for many years. The winner’s experience was her advantage. ‘ Two Wellingtonians won the two junior championships, Roussel], who is a Wilding Shield player, having an easy task in the intermediate final. The Auckland and Wellington women’s teams began a contest for the Nunneley Casket. Results: — BOYS’ SINGLES. —Final.— Bedford (Wellington) beat Chalmers (Auckland), 6-3, 6-3.
