(Received January 21, at 10.30 a.m.) The entire male population of the townships of Gunning and Jerrawa is liediting hard to save property from destruction by bush fires. Both places are threatened. . The heat in Western District towns was again over lOOdeg. A drop in the temperature and a change of wind enabled the fire fighters in Victoria to gain control of most of the fires.
