$ HEAD OF NEW CORPORATION APPOINTED BY MR H<S)VER. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. WASHINGTON, January 19. (Received January 20, at 10 a.m.) President Hoover has selected the retiring Ambassador, General Dawes, as head of the new 2,000,000,000d0l reconstruction corporation. The Secretary of State (Mr H. L. Stimson) will replace him as head of the United States delegation to the Genova Disarmament Conference. General Dawes stated later that his resignation as Ambasador became effective immediately, in view of the appointment. Ho bad intended to resign in the spring.
