SHIPMENTS TO ENGLAND CONDEMNED BY CONGRESS. press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. ' DELHI, aJnuary 19. The steamer Rawalpindi left Bombay during the week-end for England, her cargo including bullion valued at £3,073,000. The Congress condemns the Government for permitting the export of ’ gold. Yesterday sixteen Congress supporters, including two women, were sentenced to six months’ hard labour for picketing the Royal mint at Bombay with the object of preventing the shipment of gold.
