LONDON, January 18. “Get back to more solid scrummaging,” was the advice to British Rugby by Mr Pienaar, the manager of the Springboks, at the conclusion of the tour. The Springboks’ triumphant progress was chiefly due to their magnificent forwards. Mr Pienaar was of opinion that there would be a general improvement in back play if the referees were more strict in curbing the wing forward.
