AS GOOD AS A PROPOSAL A rather novel Christmas present was received by a good-natured old bachelor in a Wellington boardinghouse. Right through the year he had been the never-failing source of supply of free “Baxter’s” for the benefit of his suffering fellow-boarders. One lady of uncertain age, who was thought to take unduo advantage of his generosity, made amends by presenting him with a “family size” bottle of Baxter’s Lung Preserver on Christmas Day. “As good as a proposal.” said the wag of the house. Baxter’s ” should bo in every household all the year round, ready to deal effectively with coughs, colds, hoarseness, and throat afflictions, and as a safeguard against influenza. The huge dominion-wide following that “Baxter’s” has, is a wonderful tribute to the efficacy of this remedy.
