LONDON'S BID FIFTY FIRMS COMBINE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, January 7. Fifty of the leading British fashion houses have agreed to combine to oust Paris from the leadership of the world’s fashion. Each firm will retain its individuality, but they will all pool their experiences. The idea is to devise dress displays on the scale of the Paris houses in order that buyers of tho latest modes may see them under the best conditions. The keynote of the scheme will be less expensive clothes for women and no more freak fashions.
