DOMINION CRICKET
BETTER ORGANISATION WANTED [Pek United Press Association.] HAMILTON, January 9. : “ There is room for much better organisation in dominion cricket,” stated Sr D. Hay, manager of the New Zeahnd cricket team to England in 1927, t»-day. “ For example, every racing ckib of any size in New Zealand has a piid secretary to look after its affairs, aid so has every county cricket club in Ihgland. In the dominion we have not a full-time paid secretary even for the New Zealand Cricket Council. When a first-rate man is employed in such a position New Zealand cricket may be expected to rise to the same level attaned by Rugby football to-day. Cricket in this country lacks direction, wlich can only come from an executive wlh at least one man paid to give his wlole time and thought in the interests of the came.’i
