UNITED ARTISTS’ BIG ATTRACTION FOR THE REGENT
‘Palmy Days,’ which stars the pop-eyed comedian Eddie Cantor, is another musical comedy, with dancing beauties, gags, songs, and action much like his former success ‘ Whoopee,’ but with much more comedy. ‘ Palmy Days ’ is the first of United Artists Ltd. 1932 productions to screen at The Regent. Other attractions that J. C. Williamson have contracted from United Artists are: Samuel Goldwyn’s ‘ Street Scene,’ with Sylvia Sidney, a drama that won for the author the Pulitzer prize; ‘The Unholy Garden,’ with Ronald Column; ‘To-night or Never,’ the film version of the celebrated stage play, starring Gloria Swanson; ‘ Corsair,’ a sea story, with Chester Morrison; and two pictures by the millionaire producer Howard Hughes —‘The Ago for Love,’ starring Billie Dove, and ‘Front Page,’ with Adolph Menjou. These pictures will all come to The Regent at short intervals.
