ST. KILDA BAND
The above band will give programmes at the Botanical Gardens at 3 p.m. and at St. Kilda Beach at 8 p.m. to-mor-row, and the conductor (Mr Jas. Dixon) has arranged two very interesting programmes. Included will be the two brilliant concert marches ‘ Twentieth Century’ and ‘Australasian,’ selections—‘ The Talisman,’ ‘ United Kingdom,’ ‘ Gems from Italian Opera ’; waltz, ‘ The Choristers ’; overture, ‘Pique Dame’; horn solo, Mona,’ by Mr W. Smith; cornet duet, ‘ Ida and Dot, by Messrs V. Aldridge and W. Barke. Mr Dixon has had several requests for a “repeat ” performance of the ‘ Hallelujah Chorus,’ and this will be played in both programmes. Collections will be taken in aid of band funds.
