SIR HUBERT WILKINS
ANOTHER EXPEDITION CONTEMPLATED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. NEW YORK, January 7. (Received January 8, at 11 a.m.) An Omaha (Nebraska) message states that, forced down here on Wednesday night by unfavourable weather. Sir Hubert Wilkins outlined sketchy plans for another trip to one of the Poles. “ I am going to Seattle to consult engineers regarding the construction of a special plane for use on an expedition that I have in mind,” he said. “If I can get what I want I shall have an announcement to make. There is still much work to bo done both in the Arctic and the Antarctic. The interior of the Antarctic continent is virtually untouched. We can only guess at the secrets that are locked in the forbidding ranges. An attempt to disclose them is certainly worth while.” Sir Hubert Wilkins left for Seattle to-day by plane.
