FRENCH CABINET

Briand’s ill-health, the newspapers predict a considerable reshuffle of Cabinet, perhaps even its resignation, with M. Laval choosing a most pronounced Left Wing Cabinet. M. BRIAND’S RESIGNATION IMMINENT. LONDON, January 7. (Received January 8, at 9.55 a.m.) The ‘ Sun-Herald ’ service learns that M. Briand’s resignation is imminent, necessitating complete reconstruction of the’.French Cabinet, and probably postponing the Lausanne Conference, which Mr MacDonald is not likely to oppose. M. Briand’s ill I ness has been kept secret for several weeks.
