In a violent hailstorm, resembling an artillery bombardment, which broko over tile Barkley West district of Kim. berley (South Africa) recently, Frank Cawood, a farmer, had 1,500 sheep killed, his brother lost 850, and Baton’s Estate lost 200 cattle and 400 sheep. It is estimated that the total losses suffered by all farmers in tlio area wore 20,000 sheep and 1,000 cattle.
