GUNDERSEN WINS [Per United Press Association.] NAPIER, January 7. In the chess congress final Gundersen (Victoria) beat Erskine. The game was notable foi the rapid moves by the winner, who occupied only forty minutes for forty moves, as against 120 minutes by the loser for thirty-seven. The match was awarded on time, but Erskine’s position was hopeless.
