THE POUND STERLING
WARNING OF ANOTHER RAID Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, January 5. (Received January C, at 12.5 p.m.) The ‘Daily Herald,’ in an editorial, issues a warning of the possibility of a raid on the pound within the next few days, and says: “There is systematic pressure on the eve of the international discussions, which is more than a coincidence when British policy diverges from the desires of other States. If it comes, let it come. It will only operate to the disadvantage of the countries still on the gold standard.”
