CRICKET IN THE COUNTRY
On Saturday a very enjoyable afternoon was spent when tho residents of Aramoana played their annual cricket match. In rather overcast and windy weather, the visitors batted first, and compiled 78 (D. K. Wilkinson 15, T. Dudding 13, Miss K. Wilkinson _ (tho only lady player, 6). The residents replied with a similar score (78), H. Wilkinson being top scorer with 27. In the second strike the visitors made 50 (W. Nelson 29), while the residents replied with 52 for four wickets, J. Tlinchcliffe (21) and H. Cassio (3) being the notout men'.
