FATAL FALL FROM SCOOTER. I A nine-year-old child, Peter Grant Smith, whose parents live at 29 Obani street, Wadestown (Wellington), left his home about 9.30 on Monday morn-: ing, and rode his scooter down Wades-j town road. He fell at a bend in tboj road, and returned home. Later he; showed signs of illness, and subse-( quently died. An inquest will be held on Friday. MOTOR CYCLIST INJURED. While riding a motor cycle at Fire Roads, Mosgiel, yesterday afternoon' Dean Banford, eighteen, a farm labourer residing at Wylie’s Crossing, collided with a telegraph pole and sustained a fractured and lacerated right leg. He was removed to the Dunedin Hospital. , BODY FOUND* The body of Thomas Costello, aged' 51, single, was found this morning with! a cut in the throat.
